The facelifted 3 Series could be priced from Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Depending on the market, the facelifted sedan is available with both petrol and diesel engines with a 48-V mild-hybrid tech. It even gets up to four plug-in hybrid choices and ‘M’ variants. The current India-spec 3 Series gets three powertrain options: a 2-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine (258PS/400Nm), a 2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine (190PS/400Nm), and a 3-litre straight-six turbo-petrol engine (387PS/500Nm). All of them make use of an 8-speed automatic transmission.
With the mid-life refresh, the sedan now gets a floating curved display comprising a 14.9-inch infotainment system with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Additionally, it gets a three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, and a slew of ADAS systems like front collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and parking assistant.
It will continue to rival the Mercedes-Benz C Class, Jaguar XE, Volvo S60 and Audi A4.
