Design
It has a wet sump engine mounted across the frame with two valves per cylinder. With "an attenuated version of the traditional Kawasaki tail fairing," the similar-looking bike was intended to be a middleweight variant of the Kawasaki Z900. The Kawasaki Z650 gets a new color scheme named "Candy Lime Green Type 3." This paint, which replaces the previously available Metallic Spark Black hue, is a blend of black and green with grey patterns.
