Is Hero Xtreme 200S a Sportsbike?

The Hero Xtreme 200S is the full-fledged version of the Xtreme 200R. It doesn't pretend to be a sports bike. It is priced under one lakh ex-showroom in Delhi.

Design
The Xtreme 200S is a nicely done job. The dimensions of the 200S are decent. Although it isn't incredibly attractive, it is sporty and attractive enough to get someone's attention. The Xtreme 200R is the source of the tank, tail, side panels, and even the front mud guard. But the front fairing is brand new. The brand-new LED head lamp is also included. And it all fits together so nicely.

Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
The 199.6cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine powering the Hero Xtreme 200S 4V is a faired bike built on the same platform as the XPulse twins. The engine, mated to a five-speed gearbox, produces 19.17 PS and 17.35 Nm.

Performance
The Xtreme 200S turns out to be a really well-handling motorbike. It's not very powerful, and one is nearly always going in fifth gear with the throttle pinned to the stops around BIC. Its pliancy settles into a nook. At the racecourse, those MRFs have excellent grip levels. Additionally, even though the chassis doesn't scream feedback, leaning into bends felt solid at all.

Features
The Xtreme 200S is based on the same diamond-shaped frame and sports a brand-new aerodynamic fairing with a modern twin LED headlamp. It is surrounded by a split-style grab rail, a single-piece seat, an all-LED tail lamp, a set of position lamps on either side, and an elegant-looking exhaust canister. In addition to the regular amenities, the Xtreme 200S has a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a gear position indication, and a service reminder.

Suspension and Brakes
There are still telescopic forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock in the back as part of the suspension design. Additionally, the 17-inch MRF rubberized wheels on both ends of the S and R are gripping. The S receives single-channel ABS, and the brakes remain unchanged.

Pros
  • Attention-grabbing lines of sporty design.
  • Excellent handling qualities.
  • Benefits of riding in a commuter-like posture on a regular basis.
Cons
  • Higher-speed vibration.
  • The tail part is identical to that of the sibling who is nude.

Price and Variants
There is just one variant of the Hero Xtreme 200S available, and that is the BS6 model. The retail price is Rs. 1,30,614.
