Prior to its introduction in the upcoming months, Kia has unveiled the redesigned EV6. Three years after its launch, this is the first facelift the EV6 has had. In addition to other aesthetic changes, the most recent version has a bigger battery pack. It will be possible to purchase the EV6 makeover with a single motor or two motors. But the company hasn’t yet disclosed the EV6 GT’s technical details. Later this year, the EV6 facelift should arrive in India.

Design
The most noticeable visual alteration is the new headlights, which are outlined by redesigned LED DRLs. There are now several new alloy wheel designs included with it. A redesigned bumper with contoured air intakes and a tweaked grille element are two more front-end modifications. Apart from this, the car keeps the pre-facelift EV6’s profile and taillight configuration. On the other hand, the rear bumper has been altered.
The interior design of the EV6 facelift is identical to the previous model, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment system housed in a panoramic curved display. However, a new fingerprint sensor is noteworthy. By doing this, you can register your fingerprint for use when unlocking and starting the vehicle later on. At the end of the centre console, it also has new controls for the heated and ventilated seat functionalities.
Motor
The EV’s powertrain is unchanged from before. With an electric motor installed on the back axle, the RWD single-motor variant produces 226 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. In contrast, the AWD dual-motor model produces 321 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque. The power numbers for the more powerful GT model have not yet been released by the brand. An expanded 84 kWh battery pack—up from 77.4 kWh—is another addition. In South Korea, Kia asserts a range of up to 494 kilometers.
Price and Overall
In the Indian market, Kia presently sells the EV6 pre-facelifted. With enough customers, the car has become a popular offering from the company in India. Anticipate a marginal price increase for the facelifted model in India compared to the outgoing versions, with the AWD variant costing between Rs. 61 lakh and Rs. 66 lakh.
