The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE coming soon

Due to the exceptional value that Samsung’s Fan Edition flagship smartphones offer, the company may release the next-generation Galaxy S24 FE a little sooner than usual. According to a source from The Elec, Samsung may have already begun producing the Galaxy S24 FE’s display panels, which will come with a new display driver integrated circuit (IC) from Anapass, a significant producer of display components.

According to reports, Samsung is now preparing the supply chain for the Galaxy S24 FE, and mass production of the device is anticipated to start in the second half of 2024. The Galaxy S24 FE would employ chip-on-film packaging and a stiff OLED panel, the pinnacle of display technology. Based on prevailing trends, it is probable that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will sport a 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ resolution display, potentially an LPTO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) panel with variable refresh rate capability, and a higher peak brightness.

Despite receiving positive reviews, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (review) has drawn criticism for having bigger bezels than other smartphones in the same price range. Chip-on-film packaging allowed the business to get a much more contemporary screen with a potentially higher screen-to-body ratio by drastically reducing the bezel size.

Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE may come in two versions, with the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processors. Samsung is probably going to carry over the Galaxy AI capabilities from the Galaxy S23 FE to the Galaxy S24 FE, which is expected to be released by the end of 2024 and may cost about the same as the Galaxy S23 FE.
