Is MG Yep Plus going to Launch this year in India?

Now, MG Yep Plus has introduced in China to rival these SUVs and according to reports, MG is also planning to introduce the Yep and Yep Plus in India. A four-door SUV based on the MG Comet is called the MG Yep Plus. One of the most popular SUV segments in India is the sub-4-metre class. We have a number of well-known SUVs, like the Maruti Jimny, Mahindra Thar, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon. Even the more advanced Tata Nexon EV is shorter than four metres in length.

Design
The MG Yep Plus has a boxy appearance, just like any other SUV. Its front end has massive front bumpers, a closed grille, and LED headlamps. The side profile, which has large 16-inch alloy wheels, appears lofty. Additionally, a simple element resembling that of the Land Rover Defender is visible on the rear quarter glass. The SUV’s tailgate handle is uniquely designed at the back. Actually, it appears that the tailgate opens from the side.

We can glimpse a futuristic interior, similar to what we saw on the Comet, inside the MG Yep Plus. The 10-inch touchscreen device is housed in a sleek dashboard design. In addition, a number of soft-touch materials, such as those on the dashboard and door panels, are anticipated throughout the cabin. Though it’s too soon to say for sure, it appears that the outer body’s colours and the internal colour scheme could coordinate. All things considered, the interior is really opulent and makes good use of premium materials.

Battery
A 41.9 kWh battery pack with a stated range of 401 kilometres powers the MG Yep Plus. This battery is used in conjunction with electric motors that have a peak torque of 180 Nm and 100 horsepower. We may even witness an AWD version in the future. Last but not least, the Yep Plus’s maximum speed is probably fixed at 150 kmph.

Features
The MG Yep Plus is equipped with an array of features that include premium speakers, drive modes, LED headlamps, automated headlamps, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, all four disc brakes, and much more.

Price
MG has introduced the Yep Plus in China, priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 12 lakh. Nevertheless, while the Yep Plus travels to India, the cost will go up. Having said that, the MG Yep Plus’s Indian debut price (on-road) could range from Rs. 17 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh.
