Infinix Note 40 Pro vs. Nothing Phone 2a: Price in India, design and specs

The Infinix Note 40 Pro was released in India. There are already a few decent phones in this price range, including the Poco X6, Nothing Phone 2a, and others. The Infinix Note 40 Pro is a good phone, but it’s not the fastest in its price range. Below is a brief comparison between the new Infinix device and the Nothing phone.

Design and display
The back panel of the Infinix Note 40 Pro is finished in leather. Its semi-transparent design and light configuration make it an attractive phone. The screen size on the Infinix Note 40 Pro is a bright 6.78 inches. With a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an instant touch sampling rate of 1500 Hz, it has a 3D curved AMOLED display. In addition to its TUV Rheinland certification for eye protection, the panel is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

A 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen with an adjustable refresh rate of 30Hz–120Hz is included with the Nothing Phone (2a). The company’s inclusion of compatibility for a 30 Hz refresh rate is commendable, as it contributes to extending battery life. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and boasts a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

Battery and charging
In addition, the Infinix gadget supports 45W wired charging and boasts a sizable 5,000mAh battery. Despite not being able to provide rapid charges, the 20W wireless charging capability is still a rather handy alternative. To swiftly charge your phone, you can simply place it on a flat wireless pad.

With 45W fast charging capabilities, the 5,000mAh battery of the Nothing Phone 2a is powerful. Unlike Infinix, nothing includes a charger with the smartphone and does not allow wireless charging.

Chipset and software
Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset powers the Infinix Note 40 Pro. One of the best things about the gadget is that it is not pre-installed with bloatware and runs the most recent version of Android, version 14.

There is a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC within the Nothing gadget. There is no guarantee that the Phone 2a will receive four years of security patch updates and three Android version upgrades. In comparison to the Infinix phone, the Nothing phone performs faster, according to Antutu benchmarks.

Price in India
The starting price of the new Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is Rs 21,999. For HDFC and SBI credit cards, there is an additional flat discount of Rs 2,000, effectively bringing the price down to Rs 19,999.

The 8GB + 128GB version of the Nothing Phone 2a costs Rs 23,999. However, with Flipkart’s bank deals, it’s actually available for Rs 22,999.
