The Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift made its global debut in March 2024. With this, the Ioniq 5 is now available in three variants internationally: standard, the new N Line, and N. A new exterior paint option and a new cabin theme option are the only cosmetic updates the flagship crossover EV has received.

  • Obsidian Black is a new all-black cabin theme option which is also available for the Ioniq 5.
  • White, matte gold, and black are the other three exterior paint choices.
  • There have been no additional features or cosmetic changes made to the Ioniq 5.
  • Receives a fantastic battery pack with a 631 km stated range, according to ARAI.
  • It is the most expensive Hyundai EV.

The New Paint Job
The new colour, Titan Grey, has been added to the EV’s colour palette along with Gravity Gold Matte, Optic White, and Midnight Black Pearl. The inside of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is now available in Obsidian Black, an all-black color, in addition to the previously offered Dark Pebble Grey.

Battery and Charging
It has a single rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor that generates 217 PS and 350 Nm of torque coupled to a 72.6 kWh battery pack. According to ARAI, its range is 631 km. It can be charged using two different methods: an 11 kW AC charger that takes about seven hours to fully charge, or a 50 kW DC fast charger that takes about an hour to fully charge between 10 and 80 percent of the battery. Even faster charging rates of more than 100 kW are supported; however, it’s difficult to find those chargers in India.
Hyundai equipped it with a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and two 12.3-inch digital displays (one for infotainment and the other for instruments). It has a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for further safety. The priciest Hyundai EV available for purchase in India has not undergone any additional features or cosmetic changes.

Price and Rivals
The ex-showroom pricing of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Rs 46.05 lakh (India). It competes with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and serves as a substitute for the BMW i4, Kia EV6, and the soon-to-be Skoda Enyaq iV.
