It has a single rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor that generates 217 PS and 350 Nm of torque coupled to a 72.6 kWh battery pack. According to ARAI, its range is 631 km. It can be charged using two different methods: an 11 kW AC charger that takes about seven hours to fully charge, or a 50 kW DC fast charger that takes about an hour to fully charge between 10 and 80 percent of the battery. Even faster charging rates of more than 100 kW are supported; however, it’s difficult to find those chargers in India.

Hyundai equipped it with a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and two 12.3-inch digital displays (one for infotainment and the other for instruments). The priciest Hyundai EV available for purchase in India has not undergone any additional features or cosmetic changes.

Price and Rivals
The ex-showroom pricing of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Rs 46.05 lakh (India). It competes with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and serves as a substitute for the BMW i4, Kia EV6, and the soon-to-be Skoda Enyaq iV.
