Tata Safari The Luxurious SUV Is More Upgraded Now. (Price, Design, Specifications and Features)

Tata Safari upgraded version has recently been introduced by Tata Motors. With improved cosmetics and cutting-edge technology, the 2023 Tata Safari facelift is different from the previous model. Expanding its audience is the goal of the new Safari. With its feature-rich, contemporary cabin and aggressively redesigned macho exterior, Tata Motors has upped itself.

Design
A new set of LED headlamps mounted on the front bumpers, a new exterior colour, an LED bar spanning the bonnet with a welcome feature and a new close-patterned grille with vertical slats coloured bronze are all included in the updated Safari. It has a washer-equipped rear wiper, an LED strip that spans the width of the tailboard and a connected LED taillamp arrangement with a sequential function on the back.

The flagship SUV has ambient lighting, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a large touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless mobile connectivity, and a digital instrument cluster with a new interface. In addition, it keeps getting features like an ADAS safety suite, powered and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, an air purifier, and a panoramic sunroof.

Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
A 2.0-liter diesel engine tuned to generate 350 Nm of torque and 168 horsepower, compliant with BS6 Phase 2, powers the redesigned Safari. The six-speed torque converter and six-speed manual gearbox that come with this motor provide power to the front wheels.

Performance
The Safari's powertrain remains unchanged. Driving this comparatively large SUV is made easier by the addition of electric power steering and paddle shifters, which are the two main updates. Its lack of bottom end in city mode can be rapidly fixed by switching to sport mode or using paddle shifters. The suspension has also been adjusted a little, and the ride quality has slightly improved.

Features
The Tata Safari comes with a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charging, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A multicoloured ambient lighting system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and rear seats (in the 6-seater model), an air purifier, a 6-way powered driver's seat with memory and welcome function, and a 4-way powered co-driver's seat with electric boss mode are among the extra features.

Safety
The vehicle is equipped with various safety features such as electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, up to seven airbags (six airbags as standard), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Pros
  • The Tata Safari's safety rating is five stars according to the Global NCAP.
  • Seems more contemporary than previous models, resembles a concept car.
  • The Safari's interior has undergone a significant redesign.
  • The most recent version of Safari has an extensive list of modern features.
  • Adults can sit in the third row with reasonable comfort.
Cons
  • Haptic feedback could be added to touchscreen for optimal usage.
  • Only a few versions are compatible with the ADAS features.
  • There isn't an AWD version of the Safari available.

Price
Tata Safari prices range from Rs. 16.19 Lakh for the base model to Rs. 27.34 Lakh (average ex-showroom) for the top model.

Overall
With this redesign, Tata has further set the two SUVs apart from each other. The Safari has more vertical elements compared to the Harrier's continued use of horizontal and angular lines. The Safari is difficult to overlook because of these features, as well as its roomy interior and alluring safety net.
