Tata Nexon Is Way Ahead. (Price, Design, Specifications and Features)

The New Tata Nexon has introduced on September 14 2023. It has changed yearly since 2017 release. Although a new generation would be expected in six years, Tata Motors has chosen to completely update the same model. Tata has successfully merged a modern feel with the classic strengths of the Nexon.

Tata has made public the fuel efficiency claims made for the redesigned Nexon. Within days of the Tata Nexon's price announcement, deliveries of the redesigned car have also begun. Tata's sub-4 metre SUV, the Nexon, has undergone a facelift that includes new features, an extensive interior makeover, and new powertrain options. It is still offered with both ICE and electric drivetrains.

The Tata Nexon design is easily distinguished from the back thanks to the X-shaped connected LED tail lamps at the back, which are a major change to the rear. The lamps are likewise finished in gloss black in this instance, and although they look nice, they are far too prone to scratches. Another modification is the rear wiper, which is now hidden beneath the rear spoiler to give the back a sleeker appearance. A new, attractive welcome/goodbye lighting animation is also added to the DRLs and taillights.

For interiors, Tata has also added more leatherette accents in cabin, some of which are on the dashboard. The new Tata Nexon offers a more premium interior experience overall, and the quality of the plastics has also improved. A substantial amount of additional padding has been added to both the front and rear seats to give you the feel of a movable sofa. The seats are suitable for long-distance travel as well as city commuting.

There are two engine options available in the Tata Nexon: a 1.5-liter diesel engine (115PS/260Nm) and a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine (120PS/170Nm). The petrol has the following fuel efficiency numbers: 17.44 kmpl (5-speed and 6-speed MT), 17.18 kmpl (6-speed AMT), and 17.01 kmpl (7-speed DCT). The diesel engine achieves a fuel economy of 24.08 km/l with an AMT and 23.23 km/l with a manual.

Four different gearbox options are available for the petrol engine: a new 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (DCT), a 6-speed AMT, a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. On the other hand, the diesel is available with a 6-speed AMT or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Paddle shifters are included with every automatic gearbox for a more engaging driving experience.

The Tata Nexon has a new 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 360-degree camera system. The departed Nexon's key features, including a sunroof, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, keyless entry, and push-button start, have been carried over. It also gets a 9-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer and Harman-enhanced AudioworX

The safety equipment on the Tata Nexon consists of a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, electronic stability control and up to six airbags. Higher-end models come equipped with a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring, front parking sensors, and a highline TPMS.

The Tata Nexon comes in four main trim levels: Fearless, Pure, Creative, and Smart.
The standard colour options are Daytona Grey, Flame Red, Pristine White, and Black with Creative and Fearless trims for the white and black roof colours, respectively. Depending on the trim, there are three unique paint options: Creative Ocean, Fearless Purple, and Pure Grey.

The base model of the Nexon costs Rs. 8.09 Lakh in India. The top model of the Nexon diesel costs Rs. 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 15.49 lakh, while the top model of the Nexon petrol costs Rs. 14.69 lakh. Aside from this, the price of the Nexon automatic starts at Rs. 11.69 lakh and comes in 33 different options. There are 69 variations with 7 colour options available for the Nexon.
