Affordable and Advanced, 2024 Yamaha FZS FI V4

India In keeping with its marketing campaign, “The Call of the Blue,” Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has introduced new colours for its popular streetfighter model, the FZS-S FI Version 4.0 DLX. Yamaha hopes to appeal to the discriminating preferences of the youth market segment with the launch of the vivid Ice Fluo-Vermillion and energetic Cyber Green colour schemes.

The chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, Mr. Eishin Chihana, stated: “We at Yamaha recognise that young riders of today are seeking a complete lifestyle, not just transportation.” They have a strong sense of desire and are well-versed in fashion and worldwide trends. Their inclinations and interests are varied, and they are looking for experiences that are distinct and make them stand out. We have seen that young people are closely following new colour trends and linking their personalities with them, both in India and around the world.

Design
2024 Yamaha FZS FI V4 is carefully crafted to appeal to customers’ changing preferences, especially those of the younger generation. With the addition of these vibrant colours, the FZ-S Fi Version 4.0 DLX now offers six different colour options, giving consumers a lot of ways to express their uniqueness. The eye-catching Majesty Red, iconic Racing Blue, classic matte black and metallic grey are among the colours that are currently available.

Engine
The 149 cc 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve engine of the new Yamaha FZS-FI V4 has a 9.6:1 compression ratio, it produces a maximum torque of 13.3 Nm at 15,500 r/min and 12.4 PS of maximum horsepower at 17,250 r/min. It has a five-speed gearbox. The bike is compatible with E20 and has an electric starter system.

Features
There is a 13-litre fuel tank and an injection fuel delivery mechanism. The bike has a digital clock, speedometer, and ECO indicator in addition to a constant mesh. For added convenience and safety, it also includes a side-stand engine cut-off button, traction control, and Yamaha Motorcycle Connect.

Suspension and Brakes
The bike has a front telescopic fork suspension system and a rear monocross suspension system with seven steps for adjustment. The tyres are 140/60R17M/C 63P-Radial Tubeless tyres on the back and 100/80-17M/C 52P-Tubeless tyres on the front. It has front- and rear-mounted disc brakes that measure 282 mm and 220 mm, respectively, and a single-channel ABS system.

Measurements
Its measurements are 1,990 mm (FZ-S FI V3.0 & FZ FI) and 2,000 mm (FZ-S FI V4.0 & V4.0 DLX), 1,080 mm for overall height, 780 mm for overall width, and 790 mm for seat height. Its wheelbase is 1,330 mm. The kerb weight varies from 134 kg for FZ-S FI V3.0 and FZ-FI to 135 kg for FZ-S FI V4.0 and V4.0 DLX. The minimum ground clearance is 165 mm.

2024 Yamaha FZS FI V4 is affordably priced at Rs. 1,29,700 lakh (ex-showroom).
