The upcoming AI enhanced PCs

As part of its strategy to “leverage AI as a trend,” HP India claims that artificial intelligence will simplify, increase productivity, and improve efficiency in computing. The HP Omen Transcend 14 is aimed at content creators and gamers alike, boasting state-of-the-art hardware, AI functions, and a luxurious design. The newest HP laptops, like the Omen Transcend 14, are designed for people “who want faster performances, better productivity, and longer battery life,” according to Gehani.

Regarding how the PC business would develop, Vineet Gehani, Senior Director (Consumer Sales), HP India, stated on Friday that AI is the “latest and the new revolution” and that “we think AI PCs will be a big game changer as we go forward. We have the ability to provide individualized experiences that will help our clients be more creative and productive by utilizing AI as a trend. AI is presently mostly used on cloud-based systems, but it will soon make its way onto edge computing devices as well, he continued."

“What you’ve seen now are the first set of AI-enhanced PCs, and we are going to cover the AI and use cases across customer segments,” Gehani said. Immediately following the company’s first two AI PCs, the Omen Transcend 14 and HP Envy x360 14. All segments of the market will be served by HP’s forthcoming AI-enhanced PC lineup, including consumers, corporations, data centres, and small and medium-sized organisations (SMBs).

AI PCs may be used for a variety of functions, like meeting summarization and more efficiently doing compute-intensive jobs like graphics creation, according to HP. Previously cloud-based features like auto framing and background noise reduction during video calls are now available on-device with significantly reduced latency. The presence of a specific Copilot button on gadgets such as the HP Envy x360 14 will facilitate the utilization of AI features.

Over the past few years, HP has increased its market share of PCs in India, particularly in the gaming PC segment, where gaming laptops presently account for 15–16 percent of the market overall and are expected to reach 20–25 percent in the next few years.
