The new Kia Carens has updated variations and an improved feature list for India. Carens is here with 7 new trims.

Design

The Kia Carens MPV features a new design language that includes a powerful front bumper with large air intakes, recognisable LED daytime running lights, and streamlined LED headlights. The hood also features the new Kia emblem and a thin gloss-black strip connecting the lights on either end. The side modifications include roof rails, strong character lines, and sporty alloy wheels. The Kia Carens has a dynamic SUV-like appearance thanks to its sculpted tailgate, back bumper, and wraparound LED taillamps connected by an LED strip. Additionally, Kia employed just enough chrome to give the car a high-end appearance.

Specifications

Engine and Gearbox 

Three engine options are available for the Kia Carens MPV: a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 113 HP and 144 Nm of torque; a 1.4-litre T-GDi turbocharged petrol engine producing 138 HP and 242 Nm of peak torque; and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 113 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The basic gearbox is a 6-speed manual, although options include a 6-speed torque converter and an automated 7-speed DCT.

Features

Inside, the Kia Carens boasts an ambient mood lighting system, spotlights, rear table trays, wireless charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, multiple USB charging ports, and a sunroof. It also has a 12.5-inch digital instrument cluster.

Safety

Six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, rollover mitigation, electronic stability control, and hill assist are among the many driver support features that come standard on the Kia Carens.
