Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
Volkswagen provides the Taigun with two different petrol engine options: It has a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, which is mated to a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT, and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, which is mated to a 6-speed MT or 7-speed DCT.
Active cylinder deactivation technology is also included with the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engines. In relaxed driving situations, it reduces fuel economy by turning off two of the four cylinders.
