Is TVS iQube EV advanced and best for Transportation?

The TVS iQube EV is an electric scooter introduced in India. It is intended to give urban commuters a sustainable and eco-friendly form of transportation. The iQube is the TVS first electric two-wheeler that has a traditional scooter-like look and a tonne of modern technology, and it promises respectable performance and battery life.

Although the iQube's general form resembles that of la typical scooter, a few minor design elements give it a futuristic appearance. This incorporates a U-shaped LED DRL on the handlebar cowl and sleek headlamp and tail lamp designs. TVS also made sure it was functional by adding baggage hooks, a huge underseat storage compartment, a spacious footboard, and a roomy seat. Additionally, it has a USB charging port under the seat to keep the gadgets powered up.

A 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the regular and S models, while a bigger 4.56kWh battery pack powers the ST variant. A 3kW hub-mounted motor provides 4.4kW of peak power output to the TVS iQube. The ST model is reported to reach a high speed of 82 kmph, while the basic and S variants are limited to a top speed of 78 kmph. There are two riding modes for the iQube: Power and Eco. The iQube and iQube S include 17-litre storage spaces, while the more expensive ST model has a larger 32-litre storage space.

Each variety has a varied charging time; the regular and S variants require a 650W charger and require approximately 4.5 hours to fully charge. The ST model has two ways to charge it: a 950W charger that takes a little more than four hours, or a 1.5kW charger that takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge.

All versions have the same acceleration capacity, reaching 40 kmph from 0 mph in approximately 4.2 seconds. The anticipated range for the regular and S models is 75 km in power mode and 100 km in eco mode. The ST version, on the other hand, has an amazing real-world range of 110 km (power) and 145 km (eco).

Modern features, including an all-LED lighting system and a TFT instrument panel with smartphone connectivity via the SmartXonnect app, are standard on the TVS iQube line of electric scooters. It has ride statistics, navigation, geo-fencing, range estimation, battery charge status, and an overspeed alarm. With a five-inch display on the regular model and a larger seven-inch screen on the S variation, both models have a five-way joystick on the left handlebar for convenient navigation. The TVS iQube also has features, including a handy boot light and support for USB charging.

Suspension and Brakes
The TVS iQube features an underbone tubular frame with a preload-adjustable twin rear shock suspension system and a telescopic front fork. On all versions, the braking system consists of a 130mm rear drum and a 220mm front disc. The scooter is powered by 90-section tubeless tyres on 12-inch alloy wheels.
