Is BMW G310R cheapest BMW bike?

The BMW G310R is a popular entry-level motorbike produced by BMW Motorrad. It has a sporty appearance, a 313cc single-cylinder engine, and is renowned for its smooth handling and cosy sitting position. For riders searching for a flexible and competent urban commuter bike, it's a fantastic option.

Design
The G 310 R's appearance is precisely what you would anticipate from a bike created by BMW. It is equipped with the same LED turn signals and headlights that were initially seen on the F 900 R. The front has an aggressive attitude, thanks to the USD fork's golden finish. The enormous exhaust, the tank extensions, and the large, contoured 11-liter fuel tank dominate the silhouette. Comfortable length and width are apparent in the seat. At 785mm, the seat height is low.

Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
The 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine powering the G 310 R maintains its 34 PS and 28 Nm of torque outputs at 9500 rpm and 7500 rpm. The six-speed gearbox now has a slip-and-assist clutch, which makes shifting gears a breeze.

Features
With all-LED lighting now available, the G 310 R has a more macho appearance. The ride-by-wire system and a few new internal components make the engine seem far smoother than the BS4 motor. The LCD console is the one aspect of the bike that we find lacking. It lacks smartphone connectivity and isn't very attractive, even though it has plenty of data on demand.

Suspension and Brakes
A monoshock and 41mm upside-down forks handle suspension responsibilities. Braking is handled by a 240mm disc at the back and a 300mm disc up front with dual-channel ABS. Michelin Pilot Street tyres, measuring 110/70 up front and 150/60 at the back, are mounted on its 17-inch alloy wheels

Pros
  • There is a noticeable reduction in vibrations.
  • With suspension retuned, riding with a pillion is more peaceful.
  • Fantastic brakes. Provide progress, feedback, and a satisfying bite.
  • The product's premium quality is accentuated by the paint quality.
Cons
  • The lack of grip on the Michelin Pilot Street tyres impairs the bikes' handling and braking capabilities.
  • Remains fixed on the same LCD screen. An addition such as a full-colour TFT screen would have been appreciated.
  • The costs of maintenance and replacement parts are probably still higher than those of its rivals.

In India, the starting price of the BMW G 310 R is Rs. 2,90,000. The BMW G 310 R is available in just one variant: the BMW G 310 R STD.
