Is Audi Q5 still Remarkable?

The Audi Q5 is first update to the second-gen luxury SUV. It's already well known that the Q5 finds a happy medium between usefulness and size. An attempt was made to enhance the SUV's well-balanced formula with the midlife update.

Audi Q5 has a sportier appearance. Thanks to a new front grille with chrome vertical slats, the front gets a makeover. The bolder bumper and new LED headlights with a sleeker set of DRLs come next. A fresh pair of alloy wheels that are now 19 inches in diameter in comparison to the previous set's 18 inches.

It should come as no surprise that the Q5 has a neatly laid out cabin with everything in its appropriate places and a well-executed fit and finish to create an attractive layout. Having said that, the Q5's cabin could have used more soft-touch materials because many of the pieces are made of hard plastic, which lowers the car's premium appeal.

Engine and Gearbox
All four wheels of the Audi Q5 are powered by a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine (265PS/370Nm) paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Its stated maximum speed is 240 kmph, and it takes 6.1 seconds to go from zero to 100 kmph

The Audi Q5 boasts a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, connected automotive technology, and a three-zone air conditioning system. Additionally, it has cruise control, a wireless phone charger, 19-speaker 755W Bang and Olufsen sound system, powered front seats with memory for the driver's side, and 30-color ambient lighting.

With eight airbags, hill hold, front and rear parking sensors, hill descent control, and a rear camera, the Q5 excels in the safety sector. However, a 360-degree camera and more sophisticated driver aids like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance would have improved the SUV.

There are two variants of the Q5 available: Premium Plus and Technology. The Q5's limited edition is built around the highest-end technology trim.
