Why is Maruti Ertiga preferred over other MPVs? See its Price, Specifications and Features here.

The Maruti Ertiga updated gets a revised engine, a new gearbox, and newer features that bring it up to speed with other Maruti models. It retains the well-known characteristics of providing plenty of space all around, easy controls, and comfortable seats.

In terms of exterior, you get front fog lamps, chrome external door handles on the outside, rear windscreen wiper and defogger, and 15-inch alloy wheels because this is the higher ZXi trim. The official accessory list of Maruti does not include either a roof carrier or a roof box.

The interior of the Ertiga is still the same. The digital driver's display, which receives updated graphics specifically for the CNG system, is the only change made to the cabin. The Suzuki Connect connected-car technology suite, automatic climate control, a keyless start/stop button, an eight-way adjustable driver seat with height adjustment, a front centre armrest with storage, a one-touch driver-side window activation feature.

Engine and Gearbox
The Ertiga no longer comes with a diesel engine option. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with the option of a CNG kit installed by the company. In petrol mode, it produces 102bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. In CNG mode the engine is tuned to produce 87bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. There are two gearbox options: a five-speed manual or a torque converter automatic with six speeds.

With an emphasis on lowering emissions, the engine has undergone modifications to increase fuel efficiency. In order to improve combustion and reduce waste, each cylinder is now supplied by two fuel injectors rather than one. Variable valve timing is incorporated into the engine for both the intake and exhaust stages. Once more, the goal is to sharply lower emissions by increasing the engine's combustion efficiency.

Maruti Ertiga features cruise control, paddle shifters, TBT navigation on MID, automatic headlights and AC, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The safety features are rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and brake assist. Electronic stability programme (ESP), hill-hold assist, and four airbags are standard on higher trim levels.

There are four trim levels to choose from: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. A CNG kit is also available for the ZXi and VXi+ trims. Seven monotone colours are available for the Maruti Ertiga: Prime Oxford Blue, Auburn Red, Magma Grey, Pearl Midnight Black, Pearl Metallic Arctic White, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, and Splendid Silver.
