Finally, the Nissan Magnite (Facelift) appears to be a product with incredible potential from Nissan. It has a tonne of features, a fantastic turbo engine, and a perfectly calibrated CVT gearbox. It also looks amazing. For those wishing to move up from hatchbacks or for those wanting their first SUV, the Nissan Magnite is a great option.
Design
This Nissan has distinctive J-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) and dual-projector headlamps with LED lighting. LED fog lamps are positioned beneath the DRLs. Roof rails, black cladding on the lower panels, angular 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear defogger, and a camera are additional notable features.
For interiors, it has an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility located inside for convenient connectivity. It also has a seven-inch instrument panel, cruise control, automatic climate control, a start-stop button, and a 360-degree camera—all of which are very useful in today's world.
Whats new
Nissan India has added the four-variant all-black Kuro Edition to the Magnite lineup. It has 1.0-litre NA petrol generating 71bhp and 96Nm, available with a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox
Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
This Nissan SUV offers two engine options. First is a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine with 91 horsepower and 96 Nm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The second option is a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 99 horsepower and 152 Nm that can be mated to a CVT or a five-speed manual gearbox.
Performance
It appears that Nissan has optimised the Magnite for living in cities. The suspension system is flexible and soft at lower speeds. From minor imperfections to egregiously large potholes, everything is well-absorbed without disturbing the occupants. Not even the jagged protuberances are neglected. However, the ride seems to lose its elegance as you speed.
Features
Magnite has a wireless charger, air purifier, six-speaker JBL sound system, LED scuff plates, and ambient and puddle lamps. Other features include automatic AC, cruise control, powered mirrors, rear AC vents, push-button start, voice command, gearshift indicator, and auto headlamps.
Safety
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, brake assist, speed and impact sensing door locks, ISOFIX, and hill-start assistance. But the Magnite is devoid of features like a sunroof, leather upholstery, and additional airbags.
Variants
Nissan Magnite has 7 variants: XE, XL, XV, Turbo, Premium, Premium Turbo (O), and Geza Edition. It comes in four dual-tone and five monotone shades: Pearl White with Onyx Black, Flare Garnet Red with Onyx Black, Tourmaline Brown with Onyx Black, Vivid Blue with Storm White, Blade Silver, Flare Garnet Red, Onyx Black, Sandstone Brown, and Storm White.
