Design

1. Engine

The 998cc liquid-cooled inline four cylinder engine powers the ZX-10R. The ZX-10R is no slouch, with a claimed peak 203 horsepower and torque of 84 lb.-ft. In order to maintain horsepower figures and comply with emissions regulations, the engineering team redesigned the collector arrangement, repositioned the catalytic converter, and improved cooling in the most recent model. The bike's performance has also been enhanced by revised gear ratios.

2. Transmission

The new ZX-10R's lower gear ratios provide it more punch in the slower corners and a renewed sense of urgency, but the smooth midrange that has always made the bike easy to ride by literbike standards is not sacrificed. Thanks to the S-KTRC traction control, the power delivery is smooth and has enough drive to paint black lines over every corner's exit.

3. Suspension

It has a fully adjustable front suspension system with a Balance Free Fork (BFF). The design of this advanced suspension system replaces the traditional fork springs with a hydraulic system that offers more even and smoother damping.
