Is Tata Curve EV a Game Changer in its Segment?

The Curvv EV was launched by Tata on August 7, 2024, marking the company's first move towards the evolution of their cars. A unique take on one of the fastest-growing luxury niches in the Indian auto industry. The Tata Curvv EV is priced aggressively and features an aggressive styling. There is a good claimed range, a tonne of technology, and a somewhat roomy cabin. Based on appearances, Tata Motors appears to have a winner on their hands.

Design
In terms of appearance, the Tata Curvv EV has dual-tone alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles, split headlights, all-LED lighting, LED light bars in the front and back, and a charging port on the blanked-off grille.

A panoramic sunroof, a four-spoke steering wheel, an ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, automated climate control, rear AC vents, touch controls for the AC vents, drive modes, and a fully digital instrument dashboard are among the interior highlights of the coupe SUV. A brand-new infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen is also for sale.

Specifications 
Battery
There are two different battery pack options for the Curvv EV. Higher-spec models receive a 55kWh unit, while lower-spec models receive a 45kWh unit. The former can travel 502 kilometres, while the later can travel 585 kilometres with an electric motor output of 148 and 165 horsepower.

Features
The new dual digital screens, a new climate interface, and two-spoke steering with haptic controls are at the top of this list. Upon closer inspection, the newly designed central console is equipped with a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a CNG button, and auto-park.

Variants
The ICE version would be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. While AT and MT options are to be standard for both engine types, the former also has a CNG option.
