With its huge, flared wheel arches, gigantic proportions, and high ground clearance, the Shark has an imposing and rugged appearance. Additional design characteristics include a grille that prominently showcases the BYD emblem and squarish headlights connected by a lightbar and outlined by C-shaped DRLs.

Rectangular lamps with a lightbar connecting them are installed on the back. The pickup truck is bigger than the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux, measuring 5457 mm in length, 1971 mm in width, and 1925 mm in height. BYD states that the car can carry 835 kg of payload and 2500 kg of towing capacity.

A total of 424 horsepower is produced by the engine unit. The pickup truck can attain a high speed of 160 kmph and complete a 0 to 100 kmph run in 5.7 seconds in hybrid mode, according to the brand.

Battery
With a 40 kW DC fast charger, BYD claims that a 29.5 kWh battery pack installed in the car can be charged 30 to 80 percent in 20 minutes. Its combined range is 840 km, with an EV-only range of up to 100 km. The shark can travel 100 kmph on electricity alone.

Features
With the Shark, BYD has chosen a straightforward interior design. The focal point of the cabin is a 12.8-inch spinning infotainment display, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has a 12-inch head-up display and a 10.25-inch instrument display. Physical buttons for the vehicle’s numerous functions are also included on the centre console.

Safety
It has six airbags, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, vehicle dynamic control, blind spot monitoring, hill start and descent control, and a regenerative braking system, among other safety features. Three terrain settings are available to the vehicle: sand, mud, and snow.
