The US-based company Hennessey Performance Engineering produces the limited-edition, high-performance sports automobile known as the Hennessey Venom GT. Based on the Lotus Elise/Exige is the Venom GT.
Design
The chassis of the Venom GT is a significantly altered Lotus Elise/Exige. Even though the manufacturer is not connected to Lotus Cars, the Venom GT nevertheless has a lot of Elise parts, such as the headlamps, wipers, HVAC system, floorpan, cockpit, doors, and side glass. The vehicle is not a series production vehicle and is registered as a modified Lotus Exige for use on public roads.
The Venom GT's carbon fiber bodywork and wheels help it weigh only 1,244 kg at curb. Brembo 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers are fitted to the vehicle. Surface Transforms supplied the 15-inch (380 mm) carbon ceramic rotors.

Engine and Gearbox
Three settings are available for the engine's power output: 800 horsepower, 1,000 horsepower, and 1,200 horsepower. It has 6.6L of displacement thanks to a combination of modern, lightweight engine parts (crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods, and unique engine block). The engine can run at 7,200 rpm at its redline. The mid-mounted engine is mated to the back wheels via a Ricardo 6-speed manual gearbox.
Performance
The hypercar world record is 9.92 seconds at 262 kmph, but the Guinness World Record is 14.51 seconds. Unofficial record breaking the Koenigsegg Agera R for 0 to 321 kmph, at 14.51 seconds. Two valves per cylinder, iron/aluminum twin precision ball bearing turbochargers, 90-degree V8 overhead valve.
