Porsche Beauty, Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe?

Porsche has launched the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe in India. The most recent versions are significantly more powerful than previous iterations because of several mechanical enhancements and aesthetic changes. The performance SUVs, which were first shown in April 2024, have since undergone several mechanical and aesthetic enhancements, giving them even more power than before.

Highlights
  • In India, Porsche has introduced the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS coupe updates.
  • Numerous technical improvements and aesthetic adjustments are made to automobiles.
  • Driven by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine upgrade.

Design
A few small cosmetic changes are made to the performance SUVs’ exterior, including gloss black finishes on parts like the wheel arch extensions, side skirts, front inlays, and side window trims. Unlike the rich black colour it was formerly completed in, the sports exhaust is now finished in dark bronze.

The interior design of the SUVs is unchanged and is centred around an infotainment system with a 10.9-inch touchscreen. On the other hand, a fully digital instrument cluster is now included as standard. On both versions, customers have the option to add a third co-driver display. The full-digital instrument cluster is now standard on SUVs, with co-driver displays available as an option.

Specifications
Engine and Gearbox
The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine has been modified to produce a peak output of 493 horsepower and 660 Nm on both variants, which is an increase of 40 horsepower and 40 Nm from the previous model. It is mated with a 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Performance
In an effort to enhance handling and agility, the performance SUV also gets a new axle pivot bearing for the front suspension, which is derived from the Cayenne Turbo GT. The gearbox has been updated to provide faster shift times, especially in the Sport and Sport Plus drive modes. In terms of mechanics, the GTS now comes standard with adjustable air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

Price
The redesigned Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS coupe, priced at Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.01 crore, respectively, have been introduced by Porsche in the Indian market. (All prices are ex-showroom.)
