In India, MG Motors is expanding its line of vehicles quickly. The Comet is the company’s least expensive electric vehicle, was introduced with a quick charger feature.
Battery
MG Motors has unveiled Comet, a 17.3 kWh battery. Because of this, after a full charge, the vehicle may travel up to 230 kilometers. Its lone electric motor generates 110 Nm of torque and 42 horsepower.
Charging
There has only been a 3.3 kW AC charger available since MG’s Comet EV was introduced. However, it now has a 7.4 kW AC charging option as well. The duration of the fast charger’s charging capability is not specified by the manufacturer, even when the option to do so is provided.
Features
Top versions with quick charging capabilities. These include functions including the electronic parking brake, hill hold control, turn signal integrated DRL, rear disc brake, ESC, and body-coloured motorised foldable wing mirror.
Variants
A total of five variants are now being offered in Comet, which include Executive, Excite, Excite FC, Exclusive, and Excite. In addition to including a quick charger option in Comet, MG has included a few more features.
Price
After adding the new fast charging option and new features, the ex-showroom price of the MG Comet EV is Rs. 7.88 lakh to Rs. 9.13 lakh.
