OnePlus Pad 2 Chipset Details Leaked

The OnePlus Pad 2 might release this year. The alleged OnePlus Pad 2 has been making the rounds of the rumor mill, despite the fact that the tablet has not yet been officially announced by the business and we lack official data. It will presumably replace the OnePlus Pad, which made its global debut in February 2023 and made its Indian debut in April of the same year. An earlier leak revealed the forthcoming model’s launch schedule. Recently, a fresh leak has revealed specifics about the tablet’s chipset.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) revealed that the OnePlus Pad 2 is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Numerous top smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12, iQoo 12, and others, employ this CPU. Significant improvements to the tablet over the existing model are anticipated to be made possible by the chipset.

Sometime between July and December of this year, or in the second half of 2024, according to previous information provided by the same tipster, is when the OnePlus Pad 2 might appear. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 is anticipated to be released in July of this year, carrying on from the July 2023 launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The OnePlus Pad 2, a possible competitor, might release soon after the Galaxy Tab S10.

The OnePlus Pad is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, an 11.61-inch 144Hz display with a resolution of 2,800 x 2,000 pixels, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 9,510mAh battery with support for 67W wired SuperVOOC charging. OxygenOS 13.1, based on Android 13, is installed out of the box.

Remarkably, the 8GB + 128GB model of the OnePlus Pad originally retailed for Rs. 37,999 in India, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 39,999. It is available in just one colour option, Halo Green.
