Kia Clavis Spied Testing! What We Know So Far?

Recently spied testing in India, Kia's upcoming compact SUV promises a blend of style and safety features. The design showcases a boxy and upright stance, with features like a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, and roof rails adding to its appeal. Safety-wise, expect ADAS tech, front parking sensors, and possibly a suite of other safety features like airbags, ABS, and a 360-degree camera system.

Interior Comfort and Technology:
Inside, the Kia Clavis is set to offer a host of creature comforts and advanced tech. Spy images reveal a Seltos-inspired digital instrument cluster seamlessly integrated with a large infotainment touchscreen. Top-spec variants may boast ventilated and powered front seats, drive modes, a climate control system, leatherette upholstery, and a premium Bose audio setup for an enhanced driving experience.

Diverse Powertrain Options:
The Kia Clavis will come with both petrol and electric powertrains, sharing the same platform. While the petrol version is set to debut later this year, the electric variant is expected to join the lineup in mid-2025. A hybrid version might also be introduced down the line. All versions will feature front-wheel drive configurations, offering a balance of performance and efficiency.

Launch and Market Positioning:
Anticipated to launch towards the end of this year, with sales commencing early next year, the Kia Clavis is tailored for the Indian market but will also see some export units. Pricing is expected to be competitive, leveraging local manufacturing advantages, although it will likely command a slight premium over the Sonet given its larger size and advanced features.
