Is PM-63 RAK easy to use?

Polish engineers created the PM-63 RAK, a small submachine gun, in the 1960s. It is chambered in 9x18mm Makarov and has a rapid rate of fire. It also has a folding wire stock. Up until the late 20th century, the Polish military and law enforcement used it because of its dependability and simplicity.

Design
With a stamped steel receiver and polymer grip, the PM-63 RAK has an exclusive design. Its features include a forward-mounted magazine, a reciprocating bolt handle above the barrel, and a top-folding wire stock that folds compactly to allow for a lower bore axis during firing.

Performance
650 rounds per minute is a good cyclic rate for the PM-63 RAK, which performs well. It is mobile in confined spaces thanks to its lightweight design and compact size. Its narrow effective range of about 100 metres and relatively moderate muzzle velocity, however, somewhat limit its efficacy.

Features
Among the many noteworthy features of the PM-63 RAK is its select-fire capability, which allows for both fully automatic and semi-automatic shooting modes. To improve control and balance, it has a special magazine that is positioned forward. Its straightforward construction also makes maintenance and disassembly simple, which makes it a useful option for military and law enforcement purposes.

Safety
The manual safety selector on the PM-63 RAK, which is situated above the pistol grip and makes it simple for the user to engage or disengage the safety system, places a premium on safety. It also has a grip safety on the pistol grip, which makes sure the gun only discharges when the operator grips it correctly.

Pros
  • Easy manoeuvrability is due to the compact and lightweight construction.
  • Easy to use and dependable, even in challenging circumstances.
  • The capacity to select fire improves adaptability.
  • A magazine, positioned forward, enhances control and balance.
  • Simple maintenance and disassembly.
Cons
  • Limited muzzle velocity and effective range.
  • Compared to some of its contemporaries, the magazine's capacity is somewhat small.
  • Outdated by today’s standards of design.
  • There are limited possibilities for installing optics.
  • The lightweight build causes a harsh recoil.

Price
