The Arado Ar 234 was created by Germany during World War II and was the first jet-powered bomber to be used in combat. It had two motors installed on its wings and a streamlined design. Suspension and brakes
For takeoff and landing, the Arado Ar 234 used a retractable tricycle landing gear system. To cushion landings, the landing gear was equipped with hydraulically actuated shock absorbers. On the main landing gear wheels, hydraulic disc brakes were used to apply brakes, which effectively stopped the aircraft upon impact.
