Design
The Africa Twin served as the model for the Honda ADV, which has longer suspension travel. It's more akin to a sportbike with an elevated suspension system than an extreme adventure bike. Engine and Gearbox
The 471cc parallel-twin engine that powers the Honda CB500X is the same engine that powers the CBR500R and CB500F. The engine has been tuned to produce 47.5 horsepower at 8600 rpm and 43 Nm at 6500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. 

Performance
The Honda CB500X is expected to get 28 kilometres per litre of fuel, according to ARAI. This mileage claim is valid for every bike model that is currently on the market. With its 17.5-liter fuel tank, Honda claims an average fuel efficiency of 28.6 kmpl.

Features
Comparing the Honda CB500X to other midsize adventure bikes on the market, it appears more approachable due to its compact size. It has the customary adventure motorcycle front beak, a full digital instrument panel with gear position and shift indications, a tall windscreen, and dual-channel ABS for increased safety.

The CB500X has a nine-step preload-adjustable monoshock and a long-travel telescopic fork with preload-adjustment capabilities. It has Single 310mm front and 240mm rear petal disc brakes with dual-channel ABS are used as standard equipment to provide braking.
