2024 Kia Sonet Facelift - Kia SUV Now With ADAS and Front & Rear Parking Sensors


The new Kia Sonet facelift
was unveiled to the Indian market by Kia India. The Sonet, which debuted in India in 2020, is the brand's third product after Carnival and Seltos. After more than three years on the Indian market, the small Sun-4m SUV is getting a mid-life makeover.


The powertrain of the Sonet facelift is not updated. There will be three engine options available for the SUV going forward. On December 20th, bookings for the new Kia Sonet will open. Customers who are interested in booking the vehicle can do so online or by going to the dealership that is closest to them.

Design
With redesigned front and rear bumpers, LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, elegant LED fog lights positioned horizontally, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, all-wheel disc brakes, LED taillights and an LED light bar at the back, the facelifted Sonet has an updated appearance.

The 2024 Kia Sonet's interior include a four-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 360-degree camera, voice-activated window functionality, remote AC control, and touch-based AC controls. The updated model boasts several noteworthy features, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, and wireless phone connectivity.

Engine
It has three engine options
The first engine is a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine with a peak torque of 115 Nm and 82 horsepower will power the Sonet. The second engine is a 1.0-liter, 3-cyl turbocharged petrol engine with a peak torque of 172 Nm and 118 horsepower. The 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine, which produces 250 Nm of peak torque and 114 horsepower, is the third engine option.

Gearbox
A manual gearbox with five speeds is mated to the first engine. Either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox is available for the second engine. Third engine will be offered with a torque converter automatic, 6-speed iMT, and 6-speed manual gearbox.
 
Features
Regarding features, the new Sonet has two 10.25-inch screens: one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment. Along with 70+ connected car features, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, sunroof, rear sun shades, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, built-in air purifier, and much more.

Safety
ADAS Level 1, which includes features like Front Collision Warning, Front Collision Avoidance-Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and more, is the largest addition to the Sonet's equipment list. It also comes equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags as standard.

Variants
The Sonet is still available in Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line versions. These are further divided into the following trim levels: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX, and X-Line. While the 1.5-diesel and 1.0-turbo petrol engines are available on all three trim lines, the 1.2-liter petrol engine is only available on the HTE, HTK, and HTK+ trims. Only the top-tier HTX+, GTX, and X-Line trims come with automatic gearboxes for these two engines.  

Price
With the addition of new features and designs, the price of the new Sonet is anticipated to begin at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The current model's starting price is Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
