After releasing multiple teasers, TVS has finally launched the X at Rs 2.50 lakh. At this price, the X is currently the most expensive electric scooter in India.
First electric scooter to get single-channel ABS Maximum peak power of 11kW Design similar to Creon's concept.Powering the X is a 4.4kWh battery with an IDC range of 140km, which is nestled with a twin-spar frame suspended by a telescopic fork and a mono-shock. The battery pack can be charged with either the Smart X Home rapid charger, which can top it up from 0-50 percent in 50 minutes (optional add-on 3kW fast charger) or using the 950W portable charger that takes 4hr30min to go from 0 to 80 percent. The cost of the portable charger is Rs 16,275 (including GST).
It has the most powerful motor and the biggest battery pack. As a result, it's claimed 4.5 seconds 0-60kmph time isn't just believable, but also quite quick. However, a top speed of 105kmph and a 140km range, though impressive, aren't groundbreaking.
TVS can bolt on different sub and cradle frames for different body styles and powertrain options. Given the Xleton is already over-engineered for what it currently offers, the upgrades in terms of body style and powertrain options should not push up the pricing significantly from where it stands today.
