Toyota has taken the wraps off the fifth-gen Prius and it has received a new engine which is more powerful than before. Here's what you need to know about it:

➡️ 2-litre four-cylinder engine replaces the earlier 1.8-litre unit

➡️ Hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, 190bhp and 217bhp total output respectively

➡️ 13.6kWh lithium-ion battery

➡️ 50mm lower, 46mm longer and 22mm wider than before

➡️ Revised interior with a digital instrument cluster
